RICARDO CARDENAS

Vice President, Latin America and the Caribbean

Ricardo Cardenas joined the RE/MAX network as a Management Consultant at RE/MAX International in November 2000 and was soon promoted to Senior Management Consultant working in the Caribbean Basin and Mexico regions. He was named Regional Director of RE/MAX Mexico in December 2001, and in 2003 was made Vice President of that Region along with RE/MAX Caribbean Islands and Central America. In March 2007 he was named Vice President, Latin America and the Caribbean.
In addition to his duties with RE/MAX, he regularly writes and submits real estate articles to numerous Spanish language publications throughout his RE/MAX Regions.
Prior to his association with RE/MAX International, Cardenas was Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Golden Real Estate in El Salvador, Central America. In 1998, he placed third worldwide in RE/MAX in number of units sold. He played a significant role in the translation of RE/MAX franchisee training manuals from English to Spanish and remains in charge of the Management Training Seminar given in Spanish every three months.
He spent five years with DIDEA, an automotive parts dealer as manager of more than 830 employees and assets of $15 million.
Cardenas holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Georgia State University, Atlanta and was a Scholar under the Fulbright Program. He also earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration from Central American University, El Salvador, Central America.
